Amish Slaw

amish coleslaw recipe


1 med. cabbage, 4 lbs.
1 med. onion
1 c. sugar


1 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. mustard
3/4 c. oil


Shred cabbage and onion; add sugar and let stand. Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Let cool. Add to cabbage mixture. Then refrigerate overnight. Will keep long.
